\nhave cracked fingers and feet,
\nthey stink of cow dung
\nreek of spices and salty sweat
\nbecause they have to return to work
\nright after they\u2019ve showered\u2013
\ntwice a day.
\nThey slog in the fields through pregnancies,
\nbirth children anywhere with little help
\nand breastfeed their children
\nwhich is but natural for them.<\/p>\n

Beautiful women don\u2019t freak out
\nseeing the first grey hair
\nand the first wrinkle,
\nthey enjoy decorating themselves
\nnot as means
\nbut to an end in itself;
\nthey look quickly in the mirror
\nafter the day\u2019s work
\nand sometimes forget even that.<\/p>\n

Beautiful women fly planes,
\nrun political offices, teach,
\ndo business,
\nbecome medical practitioners,
\nplay all sports and games,
\nreach mountain tops,
\nand the Moon.
\nThey think of men
\nas people possessing different bodies;
\nthey do not try hard
\nor use cheap tactics to snare them.
\nComfortable in their skin
\nthey understand the language of love
\nand enjoy the company
\nof men they choose
\nas partners in life.<\/p>\n

Beautiful women question
\nand answer
\nfirst to themselves
\nand then to the world
\nsoberly but sternly
\nthat it is not their fault
\nif marriage didn\u2019t happen to them
\nif they only had one child
\nif they only had daughters
\nif after many procedures they could not bear children
\nif adoption is their first choice
\nif the husbands left them
\nfor other women
\nif they were busy doing other good things
\nthan cooking and knitting
\nif they want to be monks.<\/p>\n

Beautiful women
\nare friends to other women,
\nthey have a code
\nwhich they can access
\neach time there\u2019s
\na danger alert.
\nI will tell you
\nthat one of them
\nis to throw
\npowdered-red-hot-chilli-peppers
\nin the Devil\u2019s eyes.<\/p>\n
